Certainly no one would know better than
The Bachelorette's DenAnna Pappas on how to get
Jason Mesnick's attention. She didn't have to try too hard. On the most recent season, it almost seemed like love at first sight. Mesnick was completely smitten but he laid low and gave her the space she needed to figure out her relationships with the other men. When he got his opportuntity though, he showed her just what a romantic and caring person he could be. DeAnna brought Jason all the way to the finale, only to reject his wedding proposal. DeAnna is happily engaged to
Bachelorette winner Jesse Csincsak and Mesnick will make a second attempt at finding love on a reality show when he stars on the new season of
The Bachelor. For any woman applying and looking to steal his heart, DeAnna dishes out some advice on how to land the single dad.
Female contestants on
The Bachelor have known to resort to some fairly extreme measures to get the attention of the man everyone is fighting over. DeAnna says, though, behavior like that won't fly with Jason. "Have some respect," she told E! News in a rencent interview. "He is going to notice you. It's just like when a guy walks into a bar and you see a bunch of girls. You know right off the bat five of them that you know are hot and you really, really want to talk to. You’re going to remember those five, I promise. The other ones, it’s going to take a little bit, but you know once you remember them, it works."
Jesse advises not offering your underwear to
The Bachelor, an unsuccessful move made by one drunk woman during her first night meeting
Matt Grant. His other advice is a bit more solid and an approach that ended up winning him the entire competition. "My advice to anyone going on the show is to be yourself, don’t compromise yourself for anybody or anything." Pappas advises any woman going on the show to be ready for motherhood because his young son Ty is "the most important thing in Jason’s life."
Perhaps Jason and DeAnna have put things so far behind them that he'll be a guest at their wedding. After all,
The Bachelorette couple is hoping to attend his should things work out in the end for him. The new season of
The Bachelor will premiere in January of 2009.
