The Bachelorette’s DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak were just about 6 months away from their wedding when she decided to abruptly end things. Fans of the show were stunned to learn that the two had called off their engagement but none was more surprised than Jesse himself, who never saw the breakup coming. “He was stunned, I’ve talked to Jesse several times today and he did not see it coming,” Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelorette, said in an interview after the breakup went public. The couple agreed on a date to announce the breakup, but she leaked it to the press without telling him. Read on to find out more of what Harrison had to say about the breakup and it most likely won’t be surprising to learn whose side he’s taking.

In several interviews, DeAnna and Jesse hinted at televising their wedding on ABC, in the same way that Trista and Ryan Sutter did after the first season of The Bachelorette. However, only one person in this relationship really wanted the nuptials televised. “Jesse was the one who was fighting against doing the wedding on TV. He really, truly loved DeAnna,” Harrison told a Los Angeles radio station this week. “He was so happy and he’s like, ‘Let’s just go, let’s go to Breckenridge, let’s go to Atlanta, let’s get the heck out of here, and let’s live our lives. Let’s just get to know each other and hang out.’”

DeAnna however, had other plans. Harrison revealed that her head had been filled with Hollywood dreams, of making it big, and of becoming a celebrity. “She really thinks she’s gonna be a big star somehow,” Harrison said. “Maybe she’ll prove me wrong, I don’t know… I don’t know exactly what she’s going to do, but good luck to her.”

Not even one month ago, DeAnna and Jesse asked fans for help in getting their wedding televised.  Now, for those who wrote in to ABC in support of them, it seems to be a wasted effort.  Harrison insists that the breakup had nothing to do with anyone else and didn't really give Jesse much detail about her reasons. “There’s not another guy or anything crazy like that," he said.   "She just gave him that line, ‘I love you but I’m not in love with you.’”
