Things have been smooth sailing so far for Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo since getting engaged on the season 13 finale of The Bachelorette. During an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Lindsay made several revelations about her reality TV journey and gave an update on her relationship with Abasolo, as well as their wedding.

According to Lindsay, her mother gave the best advice when it come to choosing a man on The Bachelorette.

"Before I did the show my mom told me to follow my gut and that's what I did," Lindsay said, adding that she was initially worried about Abasolo because he appeared "too good to be true."

However, at the end of her Bachelorette journey, Lindsay realized she was in love with him. "I felt it, it was logical, it was emotional and every day it gets better," she revealed.

As the first African-American woman to star on The Bachelorette, Lindsay also admitted that she felt the pressure to choose a black guy.

"Yes, I'm very honest about that,' Lindsay admitted. "When I first decided to go on the Bachelorette I thought, "I know I'm going to be judged by one audience and I know I'm going to be judged by another" and so I decided I had to overcome that before taking the role."

Ultimately, Lindsay picked Abasolo, who is Columbian. The chiropractor from Miami, who also scored Lindsay's first impression rose, says Lindsay has everything he's looking for in a woman.

"She has the perfect combination of everything I've ever looked for in a woman," he gushed. "I definitely don't want a pushover and she definitely gives me that sass, she tells it like it is and that's a turn on to me."

As for their future plans, the couple revealed they plan to move to California and is aiming to tie the knot next fall.

"We're marrying fall of next year, we're not in a rush," Lindsay revealed, adding that she has gone back to work in Dallas.

And while working as an attorney keeps her grounded, the former Bachelorette star also admits that she no longer has a normal life.

"Now I'm sitting on a couch with Wendy and that's not normal. So I don't have a normal life - not any more, no," she said.

Do you think Lindsay and Abasolo will end up getting married?
