Jake picked a lot of fabulous girls for his Top 15 but I can't help but feel that he also made some poor choices in the first episode alone. Out of the 10 hopefuls he eliminated on The Bachelor, there were two girls that should have stayed at least for another episode: Elizabeth, the captain in the D.C. international guard, and Sheila the pilot.

Sure, there's that obvious aviation connection with Jake but beyond that, I think there's so much more to explore with these two girls as compared to some of the girls in his current 15. Michelle... Vienna... Christina. Need I say more?

Both Elizabeth and Sheila strike me as very independent and attractive people with altruistic personalities. It also doesn't hurt that Ed and Jillian picked Sheila as one of their choices for Jake. And It certainly would have been nice to see one of these girls go on a one-on-one date with Jake at least before being eliminated on The Bachelor.

But going through Jake's axed bachelorettes made me realize that Jake isn't into this type of girl. I guess he's looking for something different, probably someone who's not in the same field. And looking at his remaining choices, I also realized that he doesn't like aggressive girls, he's drawn to the more feminine type, and he sort of likes the crazies. I bet he also prefers to be with someone he could take care of, rather than someone who can take care of him.

Did Jake make the right decision in letting these two girls go? Are you happy with his remaining 15 bachelorettes? Or better yet, are you happy with his rumored final choice?
