Finding love is never easy but looking for love on TV makes it so much more complicated. Just ask Juan Pablo Galavis, the season 18 love searcher who has openly admitted that he almost quit and gave up on The Bachelor

Asked by Access Hollywood how often he wanted to go home due to the stressful process of reality TV dating, the single dad said, “Phew! A couple of times. Yeah, a couple of times. It’s hard. I don’t like hurting people, and it gets tough as you start getting to know people better.”

Nevertheless, the former soccer player took the chance because he knew that women on The Bachelor were already aware of who he was and what he wanted. “You can meet somebody at a club. You can meet somebody at a restaurant. But maybe that person is not on the same page,” he said. “Maybe that person is like, ‘I’m starting out, I don’t want to get married now.’ Or, ‘I don’t want to have kids.'”

The Bachelor Season 18 Premiere Recap: The Winter of Juan Pablo Begins>>>

Meanwhile, Juan Pablo still has 18 women to choose from on The Bachelor, which will feature his first one-on-one date and first group date on Monday night. When asked to share his thoughts about some of the bachelorettes, here’s what he had to say:

On Lucy: “I don’t walk barefoot. When I see a girl barefoot in the street…I’m like, ‘Really?’ But obviously I can’t judge someone for that first impression.”

On Sharleen:  “She’s very elegant. She had a different dress than anybody else. She’s got mundo — she’s worldly. She’s an opera singer, she lives in Germany, she’s Canadian…I saw her getting out of the limo, [and I thought,] ‘Whoa, that dress is not from an American girl.'”

On Renee: “When I saw her, she introduced herself, she says she’s a mom. So I thought, ‘Okay, a little bit like me.'”

On Nikki: “She cares about other people, so that’s important to me.”

On Andi: “She’s very quick-minded. She’s smart…she likes to read.”

In other news,  Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke, who became a couple on Bachelor Pad but split up last March, are rumored to be dating again. Speculations came out after Tenley posted a photo today on her Facebook page that shows her getting cozy with Kiptyn and looking happy together.

Meanwhile, Emily Maynard is engaged yet again. Us Weekly reports that her boyfriend Tyler Johnson,  a 27-year-old management consultant whom she started dating after her split with former fiance Jef Holm, proposed to her on Saturday, January 4.

“We’re really excited!!” Maynard told the magazine. “He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings. It was so sweet! Ricki loves him more than she likes me!”

The 27-year-old singe mom first competed for and won the heart of Brad Womack on The Bachelor season 15. After they broke up, she was cast on The Bachelorette season 8 and got engaged to Jef Holm but later parted ways.
