Tire heir Andrew Firestone didn't quite find love on
The Bachelor; he and Jen Schefft broke up and she later went on to become
The Bachelorette. Since then, though, he's become engaged to model/actress Ivana Bozilovic. She's been working with Andrew at his family's other major business – a California winery – and the two seemed ready to settle into the wine country lifestyle.
Andrew has spoken in the past about his family's roots to the land, saying, "We're farmers…We drive trucks, we wear work boots. My mother was chasing cattle out of the vineyard hours before I was born. That was the year of the first harvest. The vineyard is everything I know." And even though the Firestones sold off one of their vineyards earlier this year, he continued on as manager of the Paso Robles vineyards.
However, while Andrew appears ready to leave behind
The Bachelor lifestyle and settle down with Ivana, he is making a move to a new career opportunity.
He will be working for Ty Warner – Ty of Beanie Baby fame. The company's press release states that “Firestone will be responsible for rolling out an exclusive membership program at Ty Warner's Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club and Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara, California. Part of Firestone's new role will be working to establish a membership community that will enjoy special access to Ty Warner's premier properties.”
Ty Warner picked
The Bachelor alum because, he said, "Andrew has a strong business background, but more importantly he has an intimate understanding of the local community and the properties that
define our exclusive membership program.”
And Andrew, in turn, decided to take the opportunity because, as he says, "I have been very impressed with Mr. Warner's renovation efforts, and the great lengths he has undertaken to restore some of Santa Barbara's signature properties," states Firestone. "I look forward to being part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts vision.”
