Earlier this month, Melissa Rycroft, former contestant on
The Bachelor season 13 and third placer on
Dancing with the Stars season 8, tied the knot to insurance agent Tye Strickland. This week, more details about the big day, including wedding photos, surfaced the news.
Rycroft, who was chosen by Jason Mesnick in the finale of
The Bachelor though was later dumped for
Bachelor runner-up Molly Malaney, shared some memorable moments of her wedding with
InTouch Magazine. The elegant event was reportedly attended by around 200 friends and relatives.
"I was fine, until 'Here Comes the Bride' started," the former
Bachelor contestant said of her Mexican beach ceremony. "I think everything hit me at once. My dad started to walk down the aisle and I just stopped him. I grabbed his arm, and I was like, 'Hold on,' and I started crying. And I saw Tye, and bless his heart, he had these big tears in his eyes too. It was very emotional. I locked eyes on him, and I didn't take them off until the ceremony was over."
Tye was just as happy was Rycroft. "When I saw her, I just lost my breath -- like I was in a football game and had the wind knocked out of me," he said. "I've never felt that way in my whole life, and I just couldn't help it. She was the most gorgeous bride I've ever seen in my life, and it was amazing. It was absolutely perfect."
According to
Us Weekly, Rycroft and Tye will eventually settle into a Dallas-area home.
"We didn't live together beforehand, so I'm excited about the coming-home-to-your-buddy part," Rycroft said.
