The Bachelor: Get To Know Chris Harrison
Not much has been known about Chris Harrison except that he's been the host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette since 2001.  In 12 seasons of The Bachelor, most people don't stop to think about this host that has been invited into our living rooms for the last 7 years.  We watch him have his quick conversations with the bachelor each episode and stand empathetically as he dismisses the girls each week.  Yet, there is more to this man, who has solidified himself as a reality television icon.  Let's take a closer look at this ABC host and see that there's more to him than watching someone hand out roses.

Harrison had some good fortune when he first made the move to L.A. in 1999.  In his first year in California, he landed a gig as host of HGTV's Designer Challenge, which is now in its 6th year.  Two years later, he became the host of The Bachelor and The BacheloretteThe Bachelor is about to enter its 12th season which The Bachelorette will premiere its 4th season this summer.

Getting his face on network tv helped Harrison's career take off even more.  In 2004, he hosted the Miss America Pageant.  In 2006, he co-hosted E!'s coverage of both the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.  Last year, he moved to the TV Guide Network, where he covered every major awards ceremony and is the host of Hollywood 411, a nightly entertainment news show.  Over the years, he has made several television appearances, landing roles on Alias, The Practice, and Six Feet Under.  He also appeared as himself in the feature film, Date Movie.

Harrison married his college sweetheart and has been with her for the last 14 years.  Together, they have two children: 6 year old Joshua and 4 year old Taylor. He loves the outdoors, playing soccer and golf every chance he gets.  With Harrison being off the market, though, it seems that there's no hope for a Bachelor: Host season!
