'The Bachelor' Dishes On The Upcoming Season

A new season of The Bachelor kicks off Monday night with a special 90-minute premiere airing 9:30-11:00pm ET.  On the premiere episode, the latest bachelor, Brad Womack, will meet 25 women who are after his heart.  His intention to find a woman to spend his life with is clear but it's going to be a lot harder than he thought.  After a short amount of time with the women, he must cut 10, leaving 15 to get to know him better.  Brad took part in a press conference today to talk about the new season.

On paper, it might seem like Womack would have no problem meeting women.  He's a good looking, successful bar owner.  The nightlife scene is chock full of good looking women who would be happy to have a man like Womack.  He says, though, finding the right person is tougher than you might think.  "As much as I talk to customers, I’m in a different state of mind when I'm at work," he said.  "I might see a woman that sparks my interest but I might not see again because it’s not in my nature to go up and flirt with a woman when I’m working."

Brad Womack decided to take part in the show because he has been determined to find the woman he wants to share his life with.  He told BuddyTV that the important people in his life were behind him.  "My family and friends were my most supportive group of people. They know I have been looking for that right one for quite some time."

It's tough to keep a relationship from The Bachelor going once the show has wrapped filming.  Hardly any relationships have lasted over the last ten seasons.  However, Womack does not feel that will be a problem.  "I’ve always been a very loyal person so that’s easy for me," he told BuddyTV. "It’s of course a little different in the aftermath and I think if a connection was made, it’s easy to keep for me anyway."

As for being named the sexiest bachelor in history, Womack just laughs it off.  "I don’t consider myself the sexiest bachelor. They’ve had some great guys in my position. I think it’s more laughable for my guy friends than anything," he said.

He may not think so, but the women he'll meet this season beg to differ.  The 25 women on the premiere episode go to great lengths to get his attention from one girl sneaking in a bikini on what should have been a formal occasion to one girl twisting herself into a pretzel.  There will be shortage of surprises or drama as the 11th season of ABC's The Bachelor kicks off Monday night, September 24.
