Since
host Chris Harrison has already indicated the upcoming season of
The Bachelor will be more of the same, it's possible we might not get to spend too much time inside any of new
Bachelor Brad Womack's Austin area bars.
The Bachelor and his ladies might grab a drink or two there during the home visits. However, it sounds like this season will be, once again, more about the usual fantasy dates rather than the nitty-gritty reality of dating in the real working world.
However, if you are a serious reality fan, chances are you might have already spent some virtual time inside Womack's bars.
Two of
The Bachelor's bars are part of 6th Street in Austin, a key fixture in Austin's robust live music scene. The bars, Dizzy Rooster and Chugging Monkey were among the bars visited by the housemates on
The Real World: Austin, the 16th season in the long-running series.
But raucous
Real Worlders aren't the only ones who like to party there. Recently, the Texas Young Republican Federation also featured the bars as part of their 6th Street Pub Crawl.
Well, the Chugging Monkey does state on its website that Womack and his brothers started the bar with the aim to be “a place where everyone is welcome, no matter who you are or what you do. The only thing that is not allowed is a bad attitude. We have fun here. Period. Biker...nice to see you. Teacher...nice to see you. College student...you get the point.”
The next season of
The Bachelor will be starting next month, with a 90-minute premiere episode on Monday, September 24 at 9:30pm. We will then have our first chance to see how
The Bachelor who has made a business out of welcoming all kinds in his local bars will handle having to eliminate the first women from the show.
