In 2003, Andrew Firestone starred in the third season of ABC’s The Bachelor
, where the lucky man got to date 25 beautiful women. Among them was Jennifer Shefft, who Firestone chose and proposed to in the season finale. The engagement seemed to end before it really began and the two called it quits in December of that year. “It is totally amicable and, though we care for each other deeply, we have come to realize that our future goals are different,” Firestone told Extra
at the time. Shefft went on to become The Bachelorette
the next year while Firestone wore out every second of his 15 minutes of fame. He eventually settled down and says that he has found real, true love.
The Bachelor may have been Firestone’s first appearance on reality television but it certainly wasn’t his last. In 2005, he appeared on Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown
, placing third in the tournament. The next year, he took part in VH1’s Celebrity Paranormal Project
along with rapper Coolio and Kill Bill’s David Carradine. He also appeared on Flavor of Love: Charm School
in 2007, where he took the woman who impressed him most out on a “date”. Since then, he has mostly stayed out of the spotlight and apparently, given up on reality television... for now.
In 2007, Firestone got down on one knee again, this time for model Ivana Bozilovic. She worked at his family’s winery in California, while working on her movie career. She made a brief appearance in Wedding Crashers
but never found success in Hollywood. The two have been engaged for a little over a year and recently announced to US Weekly magazine that they have decided to officially tie the knot next month. "She makes me a better person," Firestone told the magazine. "Never before have I been so gushy."
