Previously on The Bachelor
, Sharon and Raquel
got the boot, and Jason had four kisses with four women.
This week on The Bachelor
, there will be one more group date and two one-on-one dates. Again, not all of the women will be going on a date. Chris Harrison informs everyone that Stephanie
has the first one-on-one date, and she celebrates that she finally gets some face time. She gets into the limo to meet him, while voiceovering that it's her daughter's birthday today. Seriously, we've all seen the previews for this episode, so we know that the little girl is going to show up on the date. But I guess we'll pretend that we don't know that yet.
Stephanie's limo pulls up at the beach where Mr. Bachelor Jason Mesnick
meets her. They take a walk on the beach where Stephanie shows off her cartwheeling technique. They are both wearing raglan baseball tees. Did they plan this? Then, out of nowhere, her daughter Sophia comes running toward her on the beach, and Stephanie greets her with joyful cries of "I love you." Aww, this actually is kind of touching, even for my cold, unfeeling heart. Sophia is pretty adorable, and Stephanie is visibly touched by Jason's gesture. He has a special birthday surprise for Sophia: the limo takes the three of them to Legoland, which has been reserved just for the three of them. It might just be editing, but it really does look like they are all having a grand, old time, and Jason thinks that Sophia and Ty would get along just great. During lunch, Stephanie tells him that she is looking for someone who she can take care of and who can take care of her.
After the meal and right before the birthday cake, Jason presents Stephanie with a Lego rose, which she accepts. After their day, Sophia leaves to go back home. It's difficult for Stephanie to say good-bye.
Back at the mansion, there's another date card: Shannon, Naomi
are notified that they'll be going on the group date. He picks up the women, who are dressed in going-out clothes even though it's the middle of the day. Natalie
, who got left behind, is a little bit bitter that she didn't get to go too and makes some kind of rationalization about why it's better that she stayed home.
The limo brings them to a loft that is filled with a bunch of busts, except that these busts are casts of actual busts, and not the head and shoulders. They will be making casts of their own busts that they will paint themselves, and the busts will be auctioned off to support a breast cancer awareness organization. Jason volunteers to go first, and he gets rubbed down with baby oil to make the cast. When it's the women's turn, they get undressed behind screens before getting cast. Shannon asks Jason to personally plaster some plaster on her body. Megan tells the confessional cam that she totally digs getting nekkid if it helps other people. Kari dedicates her bust to her step-sister, who was diagnosed with breast cancer recently. Megan says to the camera that she considers herself too deep and profound for the other women to understand, but then she goes and says really vapid things in conversation.
