Sharon Stabell: Life is Good After Stint on 'The Bachelor'
Sharon Stabell, a 32-year-old teacher from Batavia, New York, was one of the three women eliminated this week on The Bachelor. She is memorable for being the contestant who quit her job to go on the show.

Fortunately, she has gotten a new job, teaching 8th and 9th grade Spanish in Rochester, New York. She spoke today with members of the press in a conference call to talk about her time on the show and what she has been up to since leaving The Bachelor.

Sharon definitely thought that she was ready to settle down. “I’m 32,” she said. “It’s just that time of my life to start getting going with a family.”

She wasn’t entirely sure who Nikki was referring to when she said that there were women present in the competition to were n ot ready to become mothers. “I’m not sure who she got that vibe from. They all seem like they were all there for the right reasons,” Sharon said.

Although she is not currently dating anyone right now, she feels like she is in a good place in her life. She is having fun hanging out with her friends and family, and getting acquainted with her new job and students.

Sharon seemed very candid about her approach towards Bachelor Jason Mesnick. “I was kind of uncertain about the chemistry. I knew that I liked him, but I didn’t know how he felt about me. But yeah, we were both athletic and down-to-earth. I knew that there were some commonalities,” she said.

She admitted that she didn’t have enough time to get to know him and to decide whether she was really ready to marry him, but if feelings had developed, she definitely would have strongly considered moving to Seattle.

The hardest decision she had to make throughout the whole experience was quitting her job to go on The Bachelor. In the future, she would consider doing something similar again, but only if it didn’t conflict with her job.
