Ty takes another nap, and Molly gets to meet the rest of the family.  The family asks her about how she feels about being a step-mother, and Molly assures them that her family supports her in whatever she does.  That's funny.  I thought that they strongly disapproved of her last boyfriend.  Sean and Larry, Jason's brothers, take her outside to ask her about her commitment and whether she's ready to settle down.  She tells them that she's had her fill of the party phase of her life, but now she's ready to take the next step.  A little later on, Molly assures Jason's mom that she is ready to move to Seattle.  She can continue her career in Seattle, and she is ready to have a family.  Poor Jason looks perplexed.  He asks his mom for advice on whom to pick, and his mom warns her that Molly is career-oriented, and he wants someone who is more family-oriented.  This is a good example of how un-feminist The Bachelor is, and quite frankly, irks the hell out of me.

When Jason says good-bye to Molly for the day, they agree that the whole day went great.  But Jason is "literally" falling in love with two women at the exact same time and at the exact same pace, and he doesn't know what to do.

The next day, Melissa whines again about the fact that her parents didn't meet Jason, so she gets on the phone to call her parents to ask them to please, please, please talk to Jason.  She tearfully admits to her parents that she has truly fallen in love with Jason.  She exhibits low self-esteem again by explaining that Jason taught her how worthy she is and how much she deserves.  They have agreed to talk to Jason on the phone, which gives her more confidence going on her date with him today.

Melissa and Jason meet at a pier for a little boat ride.  They were supposed to have nice weather, but it's pouring and the waves are incredibly choppy and cold.  They strip down into their swim suits and jump in the water anyway.  Watch out for shrinkage, Jason!

Later that evening, Jason shows up at Melissa's hotel room for second half of their date, and Melissa excitedly tells him the news that he'll get to talk to her parents on the phone.  This is important to him because, as we all know, Jason is the Neanderthal kind of man who still thinks it's appropriate to ask a woman's father for her hand in marriage, as if she is a piece of property.  They snuggle down on the bed and make out, as Melissa daydreams about hearing an "I love you" from Jason.  He doesn't come right out and say it, but he does tell her that he has never felt this way with someone before.  Well, I guess that's true if you don't count Molly.
