The Bachelor 13: Episode 5 Recap (Page 4/4)
The next morning, Jason plays with Ty before going downtown to meet the women. He pops into their hotel suite uninvited to ask Jillian for a private conversation. He's worried that if there's anyone there who could break his heart, it's Jillian. So he wants to talk to her about how serious she is about him. They go out for some coffee, and she really lays out her feelings for him. He sounds kind of douchey when he says that he's worried that she's too strong, being the backbone for all the other women, rather than breaking down emotionally. Hey, dude, maybe she's just a really strong woman.

It's almost time for the Rose Ceremony, and Jason thinks long and hard about which bachelorette to send home. Chris Harrison shows up at his door for a man-chat, and Jason tells him how difficult his decision is. He gives the rundown on the pros and cons of each of the five remaining women.

The Bachelor Rose Ceremony

Chris Harrison gets the ceremony started by explaining that the four women who survive tonight's elimination will get to take Jason home for their hometown dates. Jason shows up and stalls a bit. He says that he still needs to talk some more to Naomi. Hoo boy. Naomi is wearing an electric blue drop-waist satin blouson dress. Satin does nobody any favors, and neither does a drop-waist. And a blouson? Fuhgeddaboutit.

Anyway, Jason is still unsure about whether Naomi is ready to leave her single lifestyle behind, and she says in glowing terms that she is definitely ready. Meanwhile, everyone else freaks out about what they might be talking about.

Okay, time for the Rose Ceremony to begin for real. Jason gives a rose to Jillian, Melissa and Molly. It's down to the be-makeuped Stephanie and the lisping Naomi. Unless we missed it, Chris pops his head in to remind us that there is only one more rose. Thanks, Chris! And the last rose goes to....Naomi. Stephanie looks crestfallen. Jason assures her that she is the most amazing person he has ever met. I guess that's not enough to keep her around, then, huh? Jeez, he has high standards.

In private, Stephanie concedes to Jason that she never saw him look at her in a head-over-heels kind of way. Jason interviews that he wishes he could keep her as a friend forever.

As the credits roll, Jillian and Naomi and a plate of spaghetti reenact that most famous of scenes from Lady and the Tramp. They don't actually kiss, though, which is too bad. Then, Jillian burps, proving that she is the best one of all.
