Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy announced the very sad news that the longest relationship in the history of The Bachelor, Byron Velvick and Mary Delgato, has ended.

"I almost didn't come to work today, I was so upset about this," Jimmy joked.

Jimmy then showed us why he doesn't have "high hopes" for the next Bachelor, either...





All joking aside, he did bring up a good point that new Bachelor Jake Pavelka might want to keep in mind: in 13 seasons, only one long-lasting relationship and one engagement to a runner-up have resulted from the show!

But do you think it will bring down the lofty expectations of this season's high-flying pilot? Don't count on it!
