Melissa Rycroft, a contestant on the 13th season of The Bachelor and third placer on Dancing with the Stars, married Dallas insurance agent Tye Strickland Saturday in Mexico, nearly a year after being rejected on national TV by ABC love searcher Jason Mesnick.
Rycroft, who was proposed to by Mesnick on the finale of The Bachelor and was dumped during the controversial After the Final Rose special for runner-up Molly Malaney, swapped vows with her fiance of six months in a 30-minute sunset ceremony attended by family and friends at a home on Isla Mujeres, a small island near Cancun, according to Usmagazine.com. The couple reportedly wrapped up their vows with a kiss as an instrumental version of the Monday Night Football theme song played.

Rycroft wore a strapless corseted Alfred Angelo gown and was barefoot as her father walked her down the aisle. "I'm not stuffy or anything," the Good Morning America correspondent said. "That's not my personality.

Though Rycroft, 26, and Strickland, 28, have officially tied the knot, the happy couple isn't ready to expand their household just yet.

"I definitely want to have kids, but not any time soon," Rycroft said. "We want to put ourselves first for as long as we can. I want it to be us for as long as possible before we have some little twerp running around."

Added Strickland, "If we procreate, we are going to have a little terror!"

Rycroft may have beaten Jason Mesnick to the altar but that doesn't mean wedding bells are far behind for Mesnick and Malaney, who got engaged in October. For now, though, fans of The Bachelor are shifting their focus on the new season which stars Jake Pavelka. To find out more about season 14's twists and drama, check out this article.
