After her stint on The Bachelor season two where she competed for the heart of Aaron Buerge, vice president of a chain of family-owned banks, Shannon Oliver returns in the spotlight with a new movie entitled Open Mike Night.

In Open Mike Night, the former Bachelor contestant will be featured as the character Mrs. Robinson, joining Andrew Jernigan as Michael Highman, Andi Dwelle as Mara, and Tommy Eubanks as Franz

Written and directed by Cliff McClelland, the film follows Michael Highman as the most popular guy in school, at least until a beautiful transfer student turns him down for a date.  Humiliated in front of the whole student body, his popularity tumbles as he makes one mistake after the other and soon finds himself at the bottom of the social ladder.  In attempt to redeem himself, he must take part at the Open Mic Night, a yearly forum for student creativity, which appears to be his last chance to be honest with everyone, including himself.

“I was headed out of town and my friend, Tom, called to see if I wanted to have a quick cameo in a movie he was working on. I stopped by and had the pleasure of playing Mrs. Robinson in the independent film Open Mike Night.  Cliff McClelland and the students at Richardson High School have done a great job putting this together,” the former Bachelor contestant stated in her official website.

The comedy film is set to hit the theaters on Saturday, September 1.

Although Oliver is noted for her exposure on The Bachelor season two, she also made appearances on other shows like The Bachelorette, The Bachelor: Where Are They Now, Intimate Portrait, and Trista & Ryan's Wedding.  Moreover, she landed minor roles in movies like Back at the Ranch and The Deadbeat Club.
