The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition aired its penultimate episode last night and Donald Trump's behavior was peculiar. The first half of the episode was devoted to firing two of the final four contestants in an entirely arbitrary fashion. Trump brought in two “experts” (aka NBC employees) to interview each of the finalists. He listened to them on who to keep and who to fire after the interviews, and then went totally against their advice. I can't blame him (Piers Morgan needed to be in the final two), but why even have interviews if you're going to completely disregard the results?

I think Trace is a great man but if I had to pick a winner it would be Piers hands down... and I agree Trac...
The only reason the double firing went down as it did was for the ease of production. Maybe NBC and Trump ran out of tasks, or their budget was dry, or NBC told
The Apprentice that they only wanted one more episode instead of two or three. Regardless, I can't imagine that the plan all along was to fire one person an episode all season, have four people earn a spot in the final four and than arbitrarily fire two of those people. Remember the episode where Trump opted to fire no one? I have an inkling that had something to do with the silly boardroom last night.
But, whatever. Having Piers Morgan face-off against Trace Adkins is just what I wanted. I think Piers will end up winning, just because he's better at this game, but it should be very fun to watch. The thing I'm most looking forward to next week is Trace vs. The Backstreet Boys. Just by what we saw last night, it should a whole fountain of humor. Where do those washed-up no talent hacks get off asking for wheat grass? It's a freaking charity event. I actually think that this has the makings for its own reality show – Trace Adkins as the new Backstreet Boys manager. You could call it “Trace Adkins' Head Explodes.”
Would you watch a Trace/Backstreet Boys reality show?
