Jennie Finch is one of the best softball pitchers of all time. I am no softball historian, nor am I really a fan, but I know about Jennie Finch because she is one of those females athletes who achieved backwards notoriety thanks to her looks. The California blonde, voted ESPN's Hottest Female Athlete in 2003, was first noticed on a national level as “the hot softball player.” It was only after the national gawk fest that a collective realization occurred – Jennie Finch is a supreme athlete. The softball star, who gave up zero runs en route to a 2004 Olympic gold medal, will be one of the contestants on the upcoming season of
The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition. She will also likely be
Donald Trump's latest object of semi-creepy Olympic affection (see:
Angela Ruggiero).

Nely Galan. Jennie Finch is a legitimate contestant, though. She is a good role model for young female athletes, if you're the kind of person who believes in the whole “athletes as role models” thing. I don't, and neither does Charles Barkley. So there.
