The Juice is Loose - O.J. Simpson on 'Celebrity Apprentice'?
We all know and understand that Donald Trump is a little bit crazy.  He's a larger than life personality, an egotist, someone who can make outlandish and contradictory statements on national television with a straight face.  That is why we like the guy.  It's easier to put up with someone's more dubious qualities if that person is entertaining in the process.  However, this latest piece of news regarding The Apprentice is an example of Donald Trump, perhaps, going too far.  Various sources are reporting that The Apprentice is considering casting O.J. Simpson on the next edition of The Celebrity Apprentice.  Some sources are reporting that O.J. Simpson is the one openly campaigning for a spot on the series.  Other sources claim that NBC does not have any intention of casting The Juice on The Apprentice.  What should one believe?

Even if Trump wanted OJ on The Apprentice, I'm sure he would meet with much resistance from NBC.  The network would endure a PR nightmare and advertisers would likely back out.  Not to mention the fact that casting OJ would definitely scare away other potential cast members.  I know that B and C-list celebrities can be shameless, but shameless enough to compete alongside a possible murderer?  This isn't FOX, remember.  NBC is pretty classy as far as networks go.

I just don't see this coming to fruition.  There are too many risks and not enough rewards.  OJ Simpson will not make me want to watch a show.  In fact, he might make me not watch the show just based on principle.  Donal Trump is a smart guy, and it's unfathomable to me that he would even consider bringing OJ on the show.  It's not the kind of thing smart businessmen do.  Or, maybe Donald Trump is just plain crazy and egotistical.  Maybe he's dead set on bringing some controversy and media coverage to his reality show.

Oh, and isn't OJ going to trial soon for that whole armed robbery thing.  I love how OJ is so confident in getting off scot-free that he's openly campaigning for a spot on a reality show.  The man has no shame.
