The Celebrity Apprentice: It's Annie Duke vs Joan Rivers (Impersonators)
So here are one of those moments when, after you read it, you initially go, "what?" followed by "why?" and, finally, ended with an "oh well".  That, or it's funny.  But let me do a proper introduction here--just when you thought the Annie Duke-Joan Rivers feud on The Celebrity Apprentice is over, well, think again.

The star poker player announced that she will hold a charity tournament today, at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, where she will go up against twenty Joan Rivers impersonators.  Now that's a page lifted from what the real Joan Rivers did in the final task...

The event, perhaps aptly called "Sucking Out on the Rivers", will be co-presented by Frank Marino, who's also known for his Joan Rivers impressions.  The event will benefit Refugees International, the charity which she supported in the competition.

Apart from aiding her favorite charity, Annie--who came up short in the Apprentice finale and settled for second place--is out to change people's impressions on poker players.  Perhaps most importantly Joan's--after all, she called poker players worse than "white trash" in that oft-highlighted spat between the two, when Melissa Rivers was fired.

"I think that after this poker tournament, the real Joan Rivers will quickly realize that poker players are good-natured people--professional people with respected occupations and families--who really want to change the lives of those less fortunate," she said in a press release.  "As poker players, we're all banding together, not just to prove a point to Joan, but to actually change the world."

Now, laugh if you would, but come to think of it--that's a stroke of business genius right there.  And, perhaps, another page on that never-ending conflict between the two personalities.  Any wagers on what will happen?  I thought so too, yes...
