Michael Laungani is a Manhattan native who graduated from United Nations International School in New York City. His diverse educational background enabled him to study economics in three different languages. He also received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in marketing and finance. Later, he joined Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice where he is an advisor to Fortune 500 companies. Apart from work, he takes delight in snowboarding, wakeboarding and riding his motorcycle.

Moreover, he joined the reality show The Apprentice. He was initially assigned to Synergy in week 1 and the transferred to Gold Rush in week 8. Eventually, he got fired in week 11.
