Former heavyweight three time champion, Lennox Claudius Lewis was born on September 2, 1965 in West Ham, London, England to Jamaican born parents. At the age of 12, his family moved to Kitchener, Ontario where he attended Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute. While in high school, he actively participated in Canadian football, soccer and basketball. However, he decided that his passion was in boxing. In 1983, he won the world amateur junior title.

A year later, Lewis was given the chance to represent Canada as a super-heavyweight in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles. He made it into the quarterfinals, but lost to Tyrell Biggs, thus landing on the fifth place. He began his professional boxing career in the 1990s, when he fought Donovan Ruddock in the WBC. His other opponents were Tony Tucker, Phil Jackson and Frank Bruno, whom he all defeated. In 1998, he claimed the WBC world title after defeating linear champion Shannon Biggs, and also retained the title against former WBO world champion Henry Akinwande. Lewis also fought Evander Holyfield twice, defeating him on the second bout. Another monumental fight for Lewis was the one with Mike Tyson, whom he beat to the ground long before the 12th round. Lewis' title of a heavy-weight champion is a distinction he shares with Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield.

In 2004, Lewis finally retired from the sport of boxing after building a long and successful career. He then began working as a boxing commentator on HBO and as an actor for minor roles. In 2007, he was cast as one of 14 contestants to compete in the seventh season of NBC's The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition, which will reward the winner with $250,000 for the charity for his or her choice.
