NBC has already released its new 2007-08 primetime lineup that features five new dramas and a variety of fresh reality programs. However,
The Apprentice is not included on the network’s upcoming roster.
Although
The Apprentice is excluded on NBC’s announcement, it doesn’t imply that the Donald Trump’s show will be coming to an end. "We haven't made a decision [yet]," NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly has told reporters in a press conference. "Donald [Trump] still wants to do it, [The Apprentice executive producer] Mark [Burnett] wants to do it."
"We couldn't find the right spot for it. So we're going to regroup after everybody announces their schedule. We're going to look at everything in context and then make a decision about it," Reilly has said, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, NBC’s 2007-08 fall lineup features new series like
Journeyman (Mondays, 10-11 p.m. ET), a romantic mystery about a San Francisco newspaper reporter, who strangely travels through time to change people’s lives. Created by Kevin Falls, the series stars Kevin McKidd as Dan Vasser, the time traveler.
On the Tuesday 9-10 p.m. ET slot, NBC has decided to position a comedic spy thriller created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak called
Chuck. The show follows a computer geek thrust in a new career as a government agent.
Another show to watch out for is
Bionic Woman (Wednesdays, 9-10 p.m. ET), a science fiction drama about a young woman who gets empowered after a car crash. The series stars Michelle Ryan, Katee Sackhoff, Will Yun Lee and Mae Whitman, with David Eick as producer. Apart from The Bionic Woman, another new series that lands on the Wednesday niche is
Life (10-11 p.m. ET), a detective series staring Damian Lewis.
And last but not the least,
Lipstick Jungle (Sundays, 10-11 p.m. ET), a dramedy from the creators of
Sex and the City about the lives of three high-powered friends who are determined to pursue their dreams.
