Donald Trump isn't avoiding the tabloid stands when choosing contestants for his upcoming Celebrity Apprentice
. The Donald says he is after high-profile party girls Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. Trump referred to each of the infamous burn outs as “[bleeping] messes” when he discussed their potential appearance on the show.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
So far, Trump has begun negotiations with Spears, but has Paris chomping at the silver spoon to hop on board. Since Paris' previous ventures include ripping off UB40 and the typical wannabe staples of clothing and perfume lines, it would be interesting to see how harsh the Donald would be at dispatching Hilton in the early rounds. Despite her interest, Trump seems half-hearted about having her on, telling the New York Post that Paris “"wants to be on, and we're thinking about it, but I don't know if we're going to do it."
Trump has not approached Lohan yet, but expects to do so this week. Trump takes an altruistic tone when it comes to inviting the girls into the boardroom, insinuating in no uncertain terms that he feels an appearance could salvage their sinking careers. Referring to Lohan, Trump says “We haven't asked her yet, but I'm going to call her this week. It would a positive thing for her to do . . . for all of them.”
Since America has already more or less fired the starlets from their interest list, an appearance on The Apprentice
would hardly help reinvigorate any of the ditzy trio's careers. If anything, it would be a study in sadism as America tunes in – for the first three weeks at least – to see which one of the perpetual foul ups is going home, and how nasty the Donald will be about it.
Trump told the post that hundreds of celebs were interested in appearing. So far, the participants that have signed up include CNBC's Mad Money
host Jim Cramer, former Baywatch
star Carmen Electra, comedienne Joan Rivers, country music matriarch Naomi Judd, boxer and grill spokesperson George Foreman, original Apprentice
villain Omarosa, Russell Simmons' ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons, disgraced baseball player Pete Rose, pro skateboarder Tony Hawk and NASCAR superstar Jeff Gordon.
