Perhaps you've never heard of Tiffany Fallon. If you don't "read" Playboy or aren't a super fan of Rascal Flatts, most people's first encounter with Fallon was on
The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition. Tiffany was the 2005 Playboy Playmate of the Year, and next month will be the Playboy cover girl once again. Also, she is currently expecting her first child, due in May, with her husband, a member of country band Rascal Flatts. Her ejection from
The Celebrity Apprentice was rather dubious, more a result of Omarosa's board room prowess than any fault of Fallon. Tiffany stopped by to speak with us at BuddyTV about her time on the show.
Below you will find the written transcript and full mp3 audio of the interview.
Hey, this is Oscar Dahl from BuddyTV and I'm here with Tiffany Fallon, former Playboy Playmate of the Year and, most recently, a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice. Tiffany, how are you doing?
I'm just recovering from my demise on The Celebrity Apprentice. But I'm OK. I'm living the good life.
How did you end up on The Celebrity Apprentice?
Actually, I got a call from my agent and they just said, “Hey would you be interested in this. At first, I was kind of hesitant. I only watched the first season and had been unfamiliar with format for awhile. But, I just said, “You know what, that doesn't scare me. Let's go for it. Let's do it.”
Though your time was short, what was your favorite part of being on The Celebrity Apprentice?
Maybe just being considered a celebrity. I had nothing to lose and to be quite honest with you to be in the mix of company I was, it was such an honor.
Coming into the show, how do you feel you were equipped to deal with that first task? Omarosa questioned how ready you were in the board room.
I thought that was her cop out to save face in front of Mr. Trump in the board room, which was to be expected. Everyone tries to save their own ass when they're in the board room. For me, I've been in the entertainment industry for maybe not as long as some of the other cast members. I'm a college graduate from FSU with a degree in sports management. I worked for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant for, god, five, six years. So, working in the service industry...I've been in the trenches. I've worked with thousands and thousands and thousands of people. Different personalities, different egos. The service industry is tough. You learn a lot when you're on a plane that you can't jump off. Aside from that, I've worn many hats and have had a multitude of tasks across the board. I felt prepared. I mean, how hard is it to sell hot dogs? Quite honestly, it's not that hard. The hardest part is your strategy going into that and, you know, myself and my cast mates included, we wanted to use some of our celebrity, but that was shot down pretty fast. I'll go on record saying that we knew we were going to have to pick our battles with Omarosa and that was my strategy, before I even knew I was on the same team with her. Just to pick your battles with your teammates in general and try to get the lay of th land. Unfortunately, we found ourselves on the losing side.
In hindsight, do you wish you had called Hugh Hefner to buy some hot dogs?
Whether I called Hugh Hefner or my husband, who's in Rascal Flatts, my strategy was to use my resources wisely. Gene, who knows, he could've blown his load on the very first task and to me it's like, who knew what kind of opportunities we'd have to call these sources later down the road and I didn't want to use all of my resources on day one. I also know that Hef's in LA, my husband's in Nashville. It's not as easy to get that money and get that person from LA or Nashville to New York, so I had to use the resources I had in New York which...there were 10 or 15 people there on my behalf, which you couldn't see in the final edit. But, like I said, not all of them were equipped to spend $10,000 a hot dog. But, they spent twenty, fifty dollars a hot dog.
Anything coming up in your future you'd like to talk about?
I have the Playboy cover that's coming out next week, which I was really proud of because, after I got “fired”, I went off and shot the cover up here in LA. And, so I booked Celebrity Apprentice and the cover all while two months pregnant. I was pretty happy I was able to achieve what I did in those two or three weeks, considering my condition.
Did Trump make the correct decision in firing Tiffany Fallon?
