The Amazing Race 12: Completely Arbitrary and Meaningless Pre-Season Predictions, 11-6
Once again, a beloved reality show is set to premiere, and once again we are left with only a picture and brief profile to formulate artificial opinions.  The Amazing Race premieres its twelfth season this Sunday, and I have been given the task of creating some pre-season predictions.  I've been doing this for awhile now, and I've become quite good.  For my Big Brother 8 pre-season rankings, I correctly predicted that Dick Donato would win the whole thing.  There are secrets to producing these predictions, secrets too precious to publish here.  Just know that my reality show predictive powers are unmatched in the blogosphere.  So, then, what do I see in my Amazing Race crystal ball?

#11 – Jennifer and Nathan

This attractive couple has been dating on and off, but I get the impression that the two are quite combustible.  Give them a few hours and the bickering will begin.  They will give up in the middle of their first road block.  There will be pouting and yelling and an early elimination.

#10 – Ronald and Christina

The older crowd is well-represented on The Amazing Race 12.  It's nice to see, but one of them has to go early.  This father/daughter duo gives me a bad vibe.  They don't have the best of relationships (Ronald was busy with business when Christina grew up) and the animosity will linger on into the race.  This will rear its ugly head in the form of dual bouts of passive aggressiveness and an early exit.

#9 – Shana and Jennifer

There are two types of attractive blonde Amazing Race teams: smart ones (Dustin and Kandice) and all the others.  I'm guessing Shana and Jennifer fall into the latter category.

#8 – Kate and Pat

This older lesbian couple is as interesting a team as we've seen on The Amazing Race.  One of the ladies is an Episcopalian Deacon.  Still, the physical liability will prove to be too much.

#7 – Ari and Staella

These platonic and goofy friends will be at odds when one of them, at a romantic locale (Paris, Cape Town, maybe Beirut), professes their undying love for the other.  The feelings will not be returned and their demise will begin.

#6 – Lorena and Jason

This couple will remain strong throughout, but will make an epic blunder and drive off course by two or three hours.  Jason looks like a man who won't ask for directions under any circumstances.
