Exclusive Interview: Ari and Staella

Ari Bonias and Staella Gianakokos appear together as one of the contestant pairs in the 12th season of the Emmy Award-winning CBS competitive reality television series The Amazing Race. They both hail from the sunny state of California, with Ari from Long Beach and Staella from Fountain Valley. Ari is 21 years old and works as a waiter, while his partner is 24 years old and maintains a job as a restaurant manager. They have been described as loving to have fun and seek out a good time, bringing together with them a carefree demeanor to the heavily intense and challenging competition.

The two of them met almost a decade ago, and developed a relationship as best friends. Things often get rambunctious and noisy when the two of them get together, as expected to happen during the Race now that they’ve set their eye on the $1 million reward. Ari works as a server in a restaurant, and presently resides together with Staella’s kin. He has been described as catty, and he doesn’t hesitate to speak out what’s on his mind. On the other hand, Staella has been called flirtatious and willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead. Her interests are physical fitness and dancing, which her partner also enjoys as well.
