Tyler Denk and James Branaman, friends and male models, came out on top in last night's season finale of The Amazing Race. Recovering drug addicts, the two men seemed to establish themselves as favorites early on in The Race, due to their physical prowess and (relatively) calm demeanors. Rob and Kim came in second, followed by Lyn and Karlyn in a distant third. Tyler and James win the million dollar prize after a final leg that saw the teams travel from Barcelona to Paris and, finally, to New York. Team Alabama was taken out of the running in Paris, when they were unable to get on the same flight to New York as the other two teams.
It came down to the end between the last two teams, the taxi ride from the airport proving the fatal blow for Rob and Kim. You can boil down the reason for Tyler and James victory to the fact that their cab driver had an E-Z Pass for the tolls, and Rob and Kim's didn't. Simple as that. I wonder if we'll see any of these final three teams in next season's All-Star edition. Maybe not.
