An 'Amazing Race' Contestant on Playboy? Well, Not Exactly
People do seem to have this tendency to dig up something about people who join reality shows.  It's been barely half a week since CBS, for example, announced the contestants for the upcoming season of The Amazing Race, which premieres on February 15, and already people have begun talking about the backgrounds of some of the contestants.  If it's a case of good snooping or terrible boredom, well, I don't know.  But here we are, again, with one of those cases.

One of the eleven teams racing this time is Jennifer and Preston, a dating couple hailing from Columbia, South Carolina.  The official biography states that they've got very different personalities, despite having been together for two years; they've split up and made up countless times, and the race could be a make-or-break moment for them.  Well, I'm attributing this to anything—it couldn't be because Jennifer once posed for Playboy, right?

Perhaps it isn't.  But she did pose for Playboy, although it wasn't much of a success for the now 26-year-old nursing student.  It happened six years ago—she flew to the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles to take part in the magazine's search for the 50th Anniversary Playmate.  She was one of thousands who vied for five spots; she wasn't successful, although she posed for a centerfold photo that never saw print.

“It was one of the best times of my life,” she said.  “I made a lot of new friends, and it was an experience that so many girls, and probably guys, would love to have, and I was a part of it.”

While she made it to a DVD documenting the search, perhaps it's only now when she earned attention for doing it—and only because she got into The Amazing Race.  That could be the way for her to finally make it to the magazine, an idea she's still very hopeful of.  “I keep waiting for that call,” she said.  “I hope that happens.”

While she said that, people are probably looking for those images on Google.  Some say they're somewhere online; I wouldn't, of course, endorse that or anything.
