For years, fans have been discussing the possibility of an Amazing Race All-Stars edition, which would bring back fan and crew favorites from previous seasons. Other reality shows like Survivor and Big Brother have done this in the past, with mixed results.
The Amazing Race, which has won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality/Competition Program every year since 2003, and is about to launch its tenth edition, has yet to bring back any previous contestants. Phil Keoghan, host of The Amazing Race, says he is open to the idea of doing an Amazing Race: All-Stars edition. "I think if the fans really want it, then they should get what they want," said Keoghan in an IGN interview. The tenth season of The Amazing Race premieres Sunday, September 18 on CBS. This year they're sending the teams racing around the world going west instead of east for the first time.
