Laura Allen was born on March 21, 1974 in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Wellesley College as a sociology and criminology major. Prior to being an actress, she worked as a domestic violence counselor with the NYPD. She was popularly known for her portrayal of Laura Kirk on the soap opera All My Children. Her film credits included Mona Lisa Smile opposite Julia Roberts and Kirsten Dunst, and How You Look to Me. She was also included in the television series The 4400 as Lily Tyler. Lily Tyler is the mother to Heidi Moore and was married to Brian Moore prior to her abduction. Later, she gets involved with Richard Tyler and conceives a child, Isabelle. Although, she does not have any known powers, she has a very strong connection with her daughter, knowing what her daughter was thinking and controlling her actions while she was still in the womb.
