That's Amore!: Looking Ahead to Episode 4
Friday, March 21, 2008

While my hopes have recently been raised that That's Amore! might come to a mercifully swift end, the fact is it is still on the schedule for Sunday. So nothing can keep me from my appointed rounds of making some guesses as to what could happen on the next episode.

So at the least, we have one positive to cling to: we're already down to five women. We have Kim, the villainess who kind of dropped the ball on her evildoing last episode of That's Amore! (although I guess it is hard to top reinventing the locker room scene from Carrie for pure alpha dog Mean Girl nastiness). We have virginal Kathleen, who, to me, seems to be the vey obvious front-runner for Domenico Nesci's heart in that she is a) a reported virgin and yet b) skilled at slutting it up in a French maid outfit for her man. And then there's some other girls.

Your Take

Um.

Oh, right, Talor, Megan and Christina. Christina is the one who bled, Talor couldn't cook but could lapdance and Megan is the other one.

The girls' families are coming to the house, which means now their shame will be shared. There will also be a…"sticky disco." I can't bring myself to think too hard about that.

If Kim remains slightly less evil this episode, then I think she's being prepped to make it further in the competition. If she goes back to her previous tricks, she could be on the way out.

However, that would leave Domenico with only Kathleen, the girl he seems most obviously into, and then three other girls who don't really have any of that reality special sauce. I can't decide if the prospect of a duller but less offensive That's Amore! make the prospect of slogging through the final episodes more or less appealing.
