With the news that
Tila Tequila and Bobby Barnhart broke up following the reunion of
A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, romantics might be feeling somewhat downhearted. After all, if a marginally-famous MySpace phenomenon can't find love while simultaneously seeking more fame on a reality dating show, who can? It's almost enough to make you lose hope for love in 2008, isn't it?
Never fear, though, as
A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila alum (and soon-to-be star of his own show
That's Amore) Domenico Nesci is here with some words to cheer you up as the New Year gets underway.
The self-described “little man that came here with a little hope, a huge heart and a huge dream” took some time over the holidays to post some words of encouragement and gratitude for his fans to ponder as we enter the New Year.
Domenico wrote, “How lucky we are to be able to eat, have a roof over our heads and have the chance to spend quality time with the people that we love the most; you know how many people lost this years fathers, mothers, brothers during wars activity, well those people are still with you and one day when we will join a better world we will be able to see each other again.”
He continued, offering some appropriate suggestions from this snug-bathing-suit-loving Italian: “Let's be happy, let's dance, jump all over the place and for you people from the east coast why don't you go outside and jump in the snow with speedoes!!!!”
He also made a vow that his new
A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila spin-off
That's Amore will be something to make his fans happy in 2008, saying, “All I can promise you is that I will do my best to put you a smile on your mouth with my new show.”
However, it's not all sunshine and Speedos for the Italian. His post includes some oblique references to issues of class and wealth, saying, “I will try to beat fancy sophisicate people down!!!...Let's just be ourselfs and think that the world is not just about bloody money!!!”
To recap Domenico's wishes: be happy, dance and jump around, play in the snow in your Speedo, and remember that there's more to life than material things. Not bad advice actually, excepting, perhaps, that snow-in-your-Speedo part, but to each their chilly own.
