Kurtwood Smith was known as Reginald Albert “Red” Forman on the FOX sitcom
That ‘70s Show. He portrayed the husband of Kitty and father to Laurie and Eric. More often than not, he favored Laurie, seeing her as "Daddy's Little Girl," over Eric, whom he considered wimpy and twitchy. Coming from a military background, he appeared tough and mostly kept his emotions bottled up. His hobbies included working with his power tools, drinking beer and watching television.

Squirrel Boy. Usually referred to as Mr. J, he portrays the lead character Andy’s father who doesn’t care much for his pet squirrel Rodney. He often enters various competitions despite many failures in the past.
Coming soon is his television series
Insatiable. The Showtime pilot, which is presently in development, is a comedy set in a small town where everyone has some sort of addiction. He stars along with Andie MacDowell, Andrea Martin, and Beth Riesgraf among others.
Also in the works is the upcoming FOX animated series
The Life and Times of Tim. The comedic plot explores the fascinating life of a twenty-something guy. In the series, Kurtwood Smith will be providing the voice of The Boss, along with Steve Dildarian as the voice of Tim, and Matt Johnson as the voice of Rodney.
