Debra Jo Rupp as Kitty Forman on That 70s Show
Debra Jo Rupp is an American television and film actress, born on February 24, 1951 in Glendale, California. She graduated from the University of Rochester in New York in 1974. Debra Jo Rupp has appeared in a number of television series, such as
All My Children , Kate & Allie,
Seinfeld , That 70’s Show, and
Friends . Her efforts to quit smoking were publicized in the early 2000s, and she managed to kick the habit for good. At present, she’s acting off-Broadway in New York City for the Second Stage Theatre production “The Butcher of Baraboo.”
Katherine “Kitty” Forman is played by Debra Jo Rupp in the sitcom That 70’s Show. A nurse with a distinct laugh and a fondness for square dancing, she tends to be overprotective towards her son Eric and enjoys motherly activities, such as baking cookies and looking after children. Kitty fears that if Eric moves out she’ll have no one to take care of, and convinced her husband Red to take in the orphaned Steven Hyde. Despite her cheery demeanor, Kitty is an intensive smoker and alcoholic, with mood swings that she blames on menopause.
