Based on the lead female character of the
Terminator movies, Fox’s
The Sarah Connor Chronicles follows the story of Sarah as she decides to stop fleeing and confronts the continuous attacks of a technological enemy from the future. Her 15-year-old son, John, knows he may be the one person who will save the world someday, but is not yet fully prepared to face such a daunting responsibility.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which promises to be an “exciting reinvention,” is executive-produced by Josh Friedman (
War of the Worlds) and David Nutter, who also serves as the show’s director. It is set to premiere on Fox early 2008.

To play Sarah Connor is Lena Headey. Headey is a British actress who has appeared in several film productions, including
Possession, Gossip, The Gathering Storm, The Brothers Grimm, Onegin, 300, The Cave and
Imagine Me & You. At present, she is engaged to actor Johnny Cicco and is good friends with actress Piper Perabo.
Thomas Dekker is set to play John Connor. The 19-year-old Las Vegas native has appeared in a variety of television series, among which are
Heroes,
House,
Run of the House, Boston Public, Reba and
7th Heaven. He has lent his voice to a number of animated productions, including
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show, The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island, The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock, Fillmore! and The Mummy: The Animated Series.
Summer Glau will be appearing as Cameron, John and Sarah’s protector who poses as a high school student. Glau is best known for portraying River Tam in the drama series,
Firefly. However, she has guest-appeared in other television shows, such as
The 4400,
Angel and
The Unit. She has also gotten roles in a number of movies, including
Mammoth and
Serenity.
Rounding out the main cast is Richard T. Jones, who will be portraying FBI Agent James Ellison. Born in Japan but raised in California, Jones has done extensive work in both film and television. He has made appearances in numerous shows, including
Dangerous Minds, NYPD Blue, Brooklyn South, Ally McBeal, Judging Amy,
CSI: Miami, Girlfriends and
Dirt. Among his most notable film projects are
Collateral, Phone Booth, Book of Love, Kiss the Girls, Event Horizon and
Renaissance Man.
