Josh Brolin Almost Took On 'Terminator Salvation'
It is a big year for Josh Brolin.  Coming off a 2007 where the world started to turn their attention on him, he made it to the top tier after appearing as George W. Bush in Oliver Stone’s film W.  Right now he’s reeling from the recent release of his latest film Milk, and he’s also busy at work on the film adaptation of the comic book character Jonah Hex, but can you imagine him being a Terminator?

Terminator Salvation's director, McG, previously hinted at his interest in getting Brolin for a role.  To be more exact, he thought Brolin would make an ideal Terminator, at least for Salvation.  Apparently, it almost happened.  “I talked to Christian [Bale] for a couple hours,” the actor said.  “I really liked the script though I hear that’s not what they filmed.  The one I read was very interesting and dark.  Ultimately though I didn’t think it felt right.”

Now that the film’s almost on its way, he’s as curious as the rest of us as to how the film will end up.  “I saw [Bale] recently and I asked him how it was and he said, ‘it’s alright,’” he revealed.  And I do imagine: what if he was there?
