Jane Alexander appears as a member of the cast in the HBO television drama series Tell Me You Love Me. She is a multiple award-winning American actress and book author who was born on October 28, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts. She has also worked as a former director of the National Endowment for the Arts. The daughter of an orthopedic surgeon and a nurse, she was raised in a family of both Irish and German ancestry. After studying at the University of Edinburgh, she went on to earn numerous awards for her work as an actress and performer, including multiple Academy Awards for film, Tony Awards for her onstage work, and Emmy Awards for television.
May Foster is portrayed by Jane Alexander in the HBO television drama series Tell Me You Love Me. She works as the sex and relationship therapist of the three couples featured in the show, trying to help guide them towards repairing and strengthening their intimacy. At the same time, she’s trying to deal with her own unresolved problems in her own partnership to her retired husband Arthur, though their marriage remains deeply passionate and sexual.
