Jackson finally made it into the wolf pack at the end of Teen Wolf season 2, but is that the end of the road for him? Reports indicate that this might be the case -- Colton Haynes may not return to Teen Wolf season 3.

Say what? It hasn't been confirmed by MTV, but that might just be the case. Keep reading for more details.

Teen Wolf is available on Amazon Prime.

US Weekly originally broke the news of the departure, citing sources within the show's production. According to the source: "Colton is leaving Teen Wolf. It's not that he didn't want to return because he did. It's that the heads of the show wanted to limit him to only appearing on half the season -- 12 episodes, not 24."

But this news isn't exactly certain. The initial report also included a quote from an MTV spokesperson. That person insisted that there was "absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for season 3 of Teen Wolf."

If you want the news direct from the source, Colton Haynes seems to have posted about this on his Twitter account:

"These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I'm sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love"

That certainly does sound like a departure. So Colton Haynes either will or will not return for Teen Wolf season 3

For those of you who are not obsessive viewers of Teen Wolf, Colton Haynes plays (or played?) Jackson Whittemore -- douchebag lacrosse star, former kanima and wannabe werewolf. Jackson spent most of season 2 as a slimy and deadly creature, but, right at the end of the season, Jackson got his wish and became a blue-eyed werewolf.

So much for that.
