Comedian George Lopez may have had his late-night talk show end last summer, but this summer he's going to be hosting one of the most hilarious new shows of the season, Take Me Out.

The game show will air Thursdays at 8pm on FOX starting June 7 and promises to be a wonderfully silly guilty pleasure, on par with ABC's all-too-brief Conveyor Belt of Love.

Take Me Out, a British import, is simple. There are 30 single women standing at podiums. A man is brought out and, throughout the night, new pieces of info are revealed about him. If the girl loses interest, she turns her light off. At the end of the night, the man gets to pick from whoever has their light left on (if anyone does).



It sounds simple, but also hilarious. You could spend all day watching clips of the British version of the show on YouTube (and I have). Sometimes nearly all the women turn their lights off at first glance, forever labeling the guy a supreme d-bag.

And, in the original version, the panel of women stays constant, with a new one being brought in to replace whoever gets picked. So there's the potential for some of the women to develop feuds while others become fan favorites, much like the case models on Deal or No Deal.
