Coffey made quite an impression on the viewers of the first season of Bravo's hairstyling challenge show Shear Genius
, that the network has decided to give her her own show. And why not? Fans loved Coffey so much that she was even named fan favorite.
Tabatha's Salon Takeover
debuts tonight 10pm on Bravo. The show features Coffey hitting the road and trying her best to give beauty salons a little lesson on beauty as she is given just one week to transform a salon from terrible to terrific. Starting with “struggling” hair salons in the New York City and Los Angeles areas, Coffey will literally take over it and help the owners and stylist to be back on their feet. At the end of one week, she will then decide if the salon has improved and ready for reopening, or it would be for everyone's best if it closed shop.
Tabatha will impart varied lessons to those involved in the salon, from customer service and cleanliness to professionalism and overall styling techniques.
After a “casting” call early this year, the five salons that will be featured on Tabatha's Salon Takeover
are Ten Salon in Long Beach, De Cielo Salon in Burbank, Martino-Giovanni and Pileggi in Sewell, Images Hair Salon in Oyster Bay, and Tika Salon in Rockville Center.
As mentioned, Tabatha's Salon Takeover
featuring the sharp-tongued Australian native will premiere on Bravo tonight at 10pm.
Coffey was cast for Shear Genius' debut season but was eliminated on the show's sixth episode. Shear Genius
and Tabatha's Salon Takeover
come from the same production company.
