Widely known as Jake Hanson from Melrose Place, Grant Show was born on February 27, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan and was raised in Santa Cruz, California. He attended UCLA and while in college, he launched his acting career by playing a role on the daytime soap opera Ryan's Hope. He stayed with the show for three years, garnering a Daytime Emmy nomination as Outstanding Young Man in a Daytime Drama Series. Show's acting capabilities attracted the attention of Aaron Spelling who cast him as Jake Hanson on some episodes of Beverly Hills 90210, later spinning off his character to become the lead in Melrose Place. In 2007, he is to grace the television screen with his appearance as Tom Decker on Swingtown.
