Now we don't have to get confused over two Russells on
Survivor: Samoa, what happens? Well, aside from the lack of confusion, of course.
It feels that behind the surviving Russell's statement over at Tribal Council last week, with him feeling bad that his namesake had to go for medical reasons, is that vindicated feeling, the sort that goes, "I can play the game much better now!" Partly, Foa Foa probably made the unfortunate decision of sending him over to Galu, because he'll make friends over there--and, who knows, maybe an alliance, too. Unless, of course, something is brewing over at Foa Foa.
And what about the purples that the evacuated Russell left behind? A power struggle of sorts, of course, and what seems to be Shambo's rise to prominence--but not really. I have this feeling that it's she who becomes the new tribal chief, but things aren't bound to go well. They call it a puppet regime, and they call it a way to combat the females making an alliance.
So let me get this straight. Shambo "heads" the men, and the females get an ally from a visiting Russell? I smell a set-up. But what about, again, Foa Foa? Fingers crossed they have a plan.
Survivor: Samoa returns tonight from 8pm on CBS. Here's hoping nobody gets injured anymore, but tonight, it seems, we're safe.
