Jeff Probst held a conference call Wednesday to discuss the upcoming 15th season of the series,
Survivor: China, which will debut next Thursday. However, the most interesting questions revolved around the possibility of the show doing another All-Star edition. Probst didn't commit to anything, but when asked whether or not next spring's 16th season will be of the All-Star variety, Probst said, “We're going into our 16th season, it wouldn't be a bad idea."

Survivor's season 16, but it's long been rumored that the show would film another All-Star edition. One reason for the speculation is simply the symmetry of it. The first
Survivor: All-Stars occurred in the show's eighth season. It only seems right that the CBS brass would wait seven more before doing another one. Another rumor that has been floating around is that the
Survivor team loved their China location so much that they were thinking about filming there again, with All-Stars, for the spring.
Probst, despite admitting that another All-Star edition would be good for audiences and ratings, was not a fan of filming the first All-Stars. "I wouldn't be looking forward to necessarily doing another 20 all-stars, because I know the minute you call them an 'all-star,' suddenly the contract has a four-page rider on it that they need their green M&Ms removed," Probst said Wednesday.
Another intriguing idea was brought up when Probst was asked about the possibility of filming a
Survivor season in Canada. The idea for a winter season has been pondered by Mark Burnett and crew, but is not likely to happen for logistical production reasons. However, Probst said the possibility is there for a spring season in a Canada-like location, with rivers and lakes instead of the tropics and ocean.
