This happens a lot on
Survivor. And, it's very frustrating. I have a friend who quit watching
Survivor after a couple of season because of it. It's completely unfair, but it's life. It's how the world works and, I suppose, in this way
Survivor is imitating the real world. It is totally defensible, which makes it all the more annoying. There's no way for
Survivor to get around it, and there's nothing a viewer can do but accept the fact that it's going to happen, as unjust as you might perceive it to be. Here's what happens: the weakest members of a tribe, even though they lose every damn challenge, will team up and vote off their strongest player. And they'll be happy about it. Ken, Sugar, and Crystal – you guys suck. I said it, yeah, and I'll say it once more – you guys suck.
I'm not saying that voting off Ace was the wrong move. As the merge approaches, it was probably the best move they could have made. It might make me want to jam my big toe lengthwise into a buzzsaw, but it was still the correct move. Ayn Rand would have something to say about
Survivor. Take that as you will. Ace was something of a snake, yes, and he did display an undeserved sense of entitlement, but if the merge doesn't happen at the outset of the next episode, Fang just shot their chance at winning immunity.
And, really? Do I have to listen to Crystal for at least one more episode? This is going to kill me. The whole rice-spilling incident and Crystal's toddler-esque reaction to it was disgraceful. Where the hell does she get off being upset after all that? So, let's review: Crystal's mad that her tribe members were urging her to eat? And, that when she refused to eat, they didn't leave her any of the rice that she said she wasn't going to eat? Get over yourself. I really felt bad for Matty after Ace's ejection last night. He had that inkling early on that Sugar might turn on them, and he was right. But, there was nothing he could do. Now, where does he stand? On very tenuous ground.
Over at Kota, it was nice to see Corinne get some screen time. She is a sassy woman, and she should be fun to watch over the coming episodes.
Dan Kay is not mentally stable, and his neuroses was almost too much to handle. I'm glad that I will not be listening to it anymore.
Is Fang the worst tribe in
Survivor history? Discuss amongst yourselves.
