Survivor: Gabon - A Closer Look At The Cast, Part 6
It’s finally here! Survivor week! As if I’m not excited enough, Jeff Probst walked away with the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Host on last night’s awards ceremony. It’s well deserved and, in my book, he blows every other host out of the water. As we’ve been leading up to the premiere of Survivor: Gabon, BuddyTV has been taking a closer look at each contestant so our readers can get to know them better. Along the way, you’ve been voting for who you think has the best strategy coming into Survivor and this week, before the premiere, you’ll help predict who will go to the final four. Today, we take a closer look at Jessica, Danny, and Dan.

Jessica is a 29 year old 50s diner waitress from Brooklyn. Her nickname is “Sugar” and she likens herself to Marilyn Monroe. “I think I’m the comic relief,” she says of herself this season on Survivor. “It’s gonna be pretty hilarious to watch me try and do some stuff.” She predicts that she’ll cry through many challenges, but she’ll laugh a lot too. “I’m not manic,” she promises. We’ll see.

26 year old Danny is from Portland and says, right off the bat, that he didn’t have a great upbringing. This has made him a very strong person, in every sense of the word. His independence and strength could make him an asset, or a threat, in the game of Survivor this season. “Money could change my life,” he said. “I’ve been so long without it and struggling, paycheck to paycheck.” Because he’s so motivated by the money, he says that he is going to try not to do anything to stand out too much.

Last but not least is 32 year old Dan, from Boston.  He kicks off his video, by bragging about his high school team being ranked in the top 25 in the country back when he played in the early 90s.  Dan is hoping not only to win, but to walk away with a better sense of confidence in himself.  He describes himself as analytical and intelligent, one who has a good sense of people.  "I think the combination of my analytical skills, the facts that I've had to go out and market myself to clients in the real world, the compassion that I've generated through my parents, and my athleticism are all going to play and I'll be able to bring that into the game and on the table."
