contestant Jaime Dugan
certainly made waves with fans this season while in China. When the tribes were switched up, she and fellow Zhan Hu member Peih-Gee decided to start throwing challenges to get rid of the Fei Long rivals. She laughed about it both at the challenge and back at camp, which got many Survivor fans fired up. She did manage to orchestrate Aaron's
exit but the next time they went to tribal council, it was her turn to go. Before she left, she attempted to play what may have been an immunity idol but host Jeff Probst just threw it into the fire. This week, after her elimination, she talked to BuddyTV about whether or not she had a romance with Erik
and explains why she laughed at that now infamous immunity challenge.
Survivor is available on Amazon Prime.
Jaime had been a fan of Survivor
since the very beginning and tried out for the first time last October. "It was a real thrill to be a part of this amazing experience," she told BuddyTV. When the tribes were first formed, she was placed on Zhan Hu but admits being worried that the strong physical players like James and Aaron were Fei Long members.
Though she says she loved her Zhan Hu tribe members, she promises that there was no romance between her and Erik. "There was definitely a lot of crushes out there. You know, I definitely had a crush on Erik. I thought he was so cute and just so sweet. But we were so hungry out there. It was hard to really think about romance," she admitted. So far, to the disappointment of some fans, no legitimate romance has come out of Survivor: China
After the episode aired when Jaime and Peih-Gee threw the challenge to get rid of Aaron, they took a lot of heat for it from fans. The entire Zhan Hu tribe had always planned to throw a challenge, including Erik, but it was supposed to be the second immunity challenge after the switch. "As soon as we got to the challenge, Peih-Gee and I were sitting there and we overheard Todd and James speaking," she explained. "As soon as we heard them speaking, we were like, 'We don't have a chance'. We were laughing because James was cussing at us and calling us stupid girls."
On this week's episode, Jaime decided to take it upon herself to go through James' things to see if he had the immunity idol. She found a similar looking item around camp and tried to play it at tribal council but she says that she knew all along it was fake. "We were trying to figure out what we could do with the fake idol," she said. "I tried to tell Todd that I had it because, at that point, I didn't know that he knew about it. I thought it would be pretty funny to see Jean Robert's reaction and it was pretty hilarious." Survivor's
sneaky player is now the first member of the jury and will help decide who walks away with the million dollars.
