Well, that didn’t take very long.  The announcement last night from Jeff Probst that Survivor 16, premiering in February, would be a Survivor Favorites vs Survivor Mega-Fans season, a hybrid all-stars season.  It’s an interesting idea and I’m going to reserve judgment until the season starts (or until later in the week where I write about it), but already we have an unofficial list of who exactly the ten all-stars are going to be on Survivor 16.  Jeff Probst has been quoted in the past as saying that, although the fans loved the first all-star season, it posed a number of logistical problems.  A lot of the all-stars demanded appearance fees and CBS had their hands tied.  But, with this Favorites versus Fans season, CBS got to find the most willing ten past contestants.  After perusing this list, if true, I like what CBS and Survivor have done with this casting.

This list is unofficial, but most likely correct.  But, keep in mind that it’s possible some of the names are wrong.

Amanda Kimmel – China
James Clement – China
Jon Dalton – Pearl Islands
Jonathan Penner – Cook Islands
Ozzy Lusth – Cook Isles
Parvati Shallow – Cook Islands
Ami Cusack – Vanuatu
Eliza Orlins – Vanuatu
Cirie Fields – Panama
Yau Man Chan – Fiji

Amanda and James from China make a whole lot of sense.  James was a no-brainer and I’d love to see what Amanda can do without Todd by her side.  Jon Dalton is another slam dunk, a necessary enemy to put on the show.  He’ll wreak havoc and piss off Jeff Probst.  Ozzy Lusth is a great competitor and one of the all-time great challenge player.  Parvati’s inclusion provides some nice eye candy, and she was likable enough.

My favorite person on this list is Yau-Man Chan.  Yau-Man is awesome and he’s reason enough to tune in to Survivor 16.  Unfortunately, I didn’t watch the Vanuatu or Panama season, so I don’t have much of an opinion on those three.  Jonathan Penner will stir things up and, if he and Fairplay somehow align, they’d be the most evil alliance in the history of Survivor.

What do you guys think?  Is this a good list of all-stars?  Who would you rather see on the list?
